Pre-Chemistry is an introductory course that integrates writing skills, mathematical calculation skills, laboratory skills, and critical thinking skills as they apply to the California Chemistry Science Standards. Students will demonstrate knowledge of the structure of atoms and molecules and the inter-atomic and inter-molecular forces existing between them and use this knowledge to analyze problems and issues in chemistry and technology that involve value or ethical considerations (such as pollution, acid rain, and radioactive materials). |
