HBUHSD Math Placement Informatioin and Practice Material
Incoming ninth grade students coming to Huntington Beach High School District are asked to take one of two placement exams to guide in their math placement. If a student has successfully completed an Algebra 1 course, most students will be given the Geometry Placement Exam to determine algebra understanding for advanced math instruction. Students that have not successfully completed an Algebra 1 course are asked to take the Algebra Placement Exam. This will guide placement in one of three Beginning Algebra courses.
